2024 Roundup – with Sam Clark, Founder & CEO

With 2024 coming to an end and TDS approaching its fifth year in 2025, we spoke to Founder and CEO Sam Clark to get his thoughts on a momentous year for the company, looking back on this year and ahead towards 2025.

Lots of exciting things happened for the company in 2024. Was there a single moment that felt particularly significant?

In 2024, one of the most exciting milestones for TDS was moving into our new office in the city centre. As our company continues to grow, this larger, more dynamic space allows our team to collaborate and inspire new ideas, which truly reflects our company’s innovative and forward thinking culture.

How would you describe the team's growth and development over the last year?

Over the past year, our growth and development have been nothing short of remarkable. We've expanded both in size and expertise, bringing in talented individuals who are not only highly skilled but also deeply aligned with our mission and values. As a result, we've seen even greater collaboration and innovation within the team.

We've made a conscious effort to invest in professional development, with a strong focus on upskilling and cross-functional training, which has enabled our team members to take on new challenges and contribute in even more impactful ways. It's been incredibly rewarding to watch the team grow together, both professionally and personally, as we continue to take on exciting new projects and drive success for our clients.

You mentioned the importance of TDS' tight-knit culture in last year's round up. Any specific examples you'd be able to point to during the last 12 months? Or any specific measures the company's taken to maintain that feeling?

Maintaining a tight-knit culture is something I’m really passionate about, especially as we continue to grow and many of our team members work remotely. It's essential that we create opportunities for everyone to connect, bond, and feel like part of the TDS family.

Over the last 12 months, we've continued our tradition of regular get-togethers to keep that sense of community alive. Our monthly socials have been a highlight—whether it's paintballing, go-karting, or enjoying some great food together.

We also held our annual company away weekend this year, enjoying an amazing time in Dublin. It’s moments like these that help reinforce our collaborative and supportive culture and really bring the team closer together.

Do you feel the company's market position has changed at all this year?

Absolutely! 2024 has been a year of significant evolution for TDS and we’ve definitely seen a shift in our market position.

With the expansion of our team and the addition of new expertise, we’re now in a much stronger position to pursue and successfully deliver on larger, more complex projects.

Our increased resources have allowed us to scale more efficiently and take on bigger challenges, which has in turn opened the door to exciting opportunities with larger clients. We’re now able to offer more comprehensive solutions, deliver faster turnaround times and bring even more value to our clients, positioning TDS as a go-to partner for both innovative startups and established enterprises alike.

What are the key areas of focus for TDS in 2025?

As we look ahead to 2025, there are several key areas of focus for Test Driven Solutions that will help drive our continued growth and success. First and foremost, we’ll be doubling down on our commitment to innovation and staying at the forefront of technology. As a tech consultancy, it’s crucial that we continue to evolve alongside industry trends, especially in areas like AI, cloud solutions, and DevOps, where we see huge potential for our clients.

Another key focus is enhancing the scalability of our services. With our expanding team and broader capabilities, we want to ensure that we can seamlessly support both larger enterprises and fast-growing startups, offering tailored solutions that meet their unique needs.

We’re also placing a strong emphasis on building deeper, long-term relationships with our clients. Our goal is to become an even more trusted partner, not just for individual projects but for long-term strategic collaboration. This will involve a combination of ongoing professional development within the team and a continued focus on delivering exceptional, value-driven outcomes.

Lastly, we’re committed to fostering a culture of growth within TDS. We’re excited to invest in our people, providing them with opportunities to upskill and take on new challenges, ensuring we continue to be a company that attracts, develops, and retains the best talent in the industry.

Any plans for any 5th birthday celebrations next year?

Absolutely! We’ve celebrated each and every birthday of TDS, and our 5th birthday next year will be no different—if anything, we’re planning to make it extra special! Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and it’s thanks to their hard work, dedication, and passion that we’ve reached this incredible milestone.

We want to take this opportunity to celebrate not only our company’s success but, more importantly, the amazing people who have made it all possible. It’s a time to reflect on how far we’ve come, have some fun, and look forward to the exciting journey ahead. So, stay tuned!
